The Raymond Revuebar in Soho London opened on 21 April 1958, it offered traditional burlesque-style entertainment, which included strip tease, and was very popular with leading entertainment figures of the day.
Monikas style can be described as quirky and humourous. Her work varies from detailed pencil drawings and monoprints of her slightly bizarre characters, to collaged animals in graphic shapes and bold colours.
The work is usually produced in small series. Drawings are printed in a limited edition, and each individual copy is finnished with line drawing, collage, hatching and colour; making every piece unique. All art work is numbered and signed by the artist.
