Serigraphy print. 1 of 50. Numbered and signed. Part of the series "If only life was simple"
Serigraphy, also known as screen printing, is a method of creating an image on paper, fabric or some other object by pressing ink through a screen with areas blocked off by a stencil. Serigraphy is a process for producing editions (multiple originals) of artwork. However each print in an edition is considered an original work of art, not a copy.
My Buemann searches and breach her limits at all times to combine different methods and to explore different media.
The scenery is defined, but the means and tools are without limits and with the basis of a simple line her illustrations create an expressive universe. This expressive simplicity is common in Buemanns illustrations, whose graphic work is tight and conceptually strong.
